Air Inter Flight 148 was a scheduled domestic flight operated by Air Inter, which was an airline based in France. On January 20, 1992, the aircraft, an Airbus A320-111, was conducting a routine flight from Lyon to Strasbourg. As the flight approached its destination, it encountered adverse weather conditions, including low visibility due to fog and cloud cover. In challenging conditions over the Vosges mountains, the pilots struggled to maintain proper altitude and control of the aircraft. The flight crew attempted a go-around procedure but lost altitude rapidly and crashed into a mountainside. Out of the 96 individuals on board, 87 lost their lives in the incident.
