An American football player and sportscaster, played as a quarterback in the NFL primarily for the San Diego Chargers from 1973 to 1987. Fouts was a pivotal player in the Chargers' air offense, leading the league in passing statistics during his career. After retirement from playing, transitioned to a successful career in broadcasting, providing commentary for numerous NFL games. Fouts was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993.
