A former compliance officer, committed a series of murders in Kansas between 1974 and 1991. Rader evaded capture for decades, taunting law enforcement and the media with letters detailing his crimes. He was arrested in 2005 after DNA evidence linked him to the murders. Rader was convicted in 2006 and received ten consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.
