Third Shia Imam and martyr of Karbala
Born in 626, was a significant figure in Islamic history, particularly in Shia Islam. He served as the third Imam following his grandfather, Ali, and his father, Hasan. Husayn ibn Ali is best remembered for his role in the Battle of Karbala in 680, where he opposed the Umayyad caliph Yazid I. The battle resulted in his martyrdom, which has profound significance in Shia belief and commemoration, particularly during the month of Muharram.
