Born in 1992, this ice hockey goaltender began his career in the Czech Republic before moving to North America. He played junior hockey with the Whalers in the OHL and was selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Debuting in the NHL during the 2012-2013 season, he established himself as a reliable goaltender. He later played for teams such as the Carolina Hurricanes and the Philadelphia Flyers. In 2021, he helped the Hurricanes reach the playoffs. His playing style, including agility and quick reflexes, contributed to his role in several playoff runs.
