Played collegiate basketball at the University of Nebraska and was selected as the 23rd overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. Won two NBA championships with the Lakers in 2000 and 2001. Transitioned to coaching after retirement, serving as an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he contributed to the team's 2016 NBA Championship victory. Later became the head coach of the Cavaliers, guiding the team to the NBA Finals in 2017 and 2018.
