Wahhabis Attack Karbala, Thousands Killed
In April 1802, approximately twelve thousand Wahhabis stormed the city of Karbala, inflicting significant casualties on the local population. Husayn ibn Ali, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, was killed during a confrontation at Karbala, present-day Iraq.
