Ögedei Khan Elected as Khagan

Ögedei Khan was proclaimed the Khagan of the Mongol Empire at a traditional kurultai in Kodoe Aral, Khentii, Mongolia. This ceremony marked a significant transition in leadership following the death of his father, Genghis Khan. The assembly brought together Mongol nobles and leaders from across the empire to unite under Ögedei’s rule.
