Raid on Sơn Tây POW Camp by U.S. Forces
A joint U.S. Army and Air Force operation aimed to rescue American prisoners of war from the Sơn Tây camp involved extensive planning and execution. The raid, known as Operation Ivory Coast, was conducted by elite forces including the U.S. Army's Special Forces and Air Force pararescue units.
