Ambush of Nigerien-American Forces in Tongo Tongo

Joint Nigerien and American special forces were ambushed by Islamic State militants in Tongo Tongo, Niger, resulting in multiple fatalities. The operation aimed to gather intelligence on ISIS activities in the region.
