The People's Budget marked a radical shift in British fiscal policy. Introduced primarily by Chancellor of the Exchequer David Lloyd George, the budget aimed to address wealth inequality and fund social programs through increased taxation on the wealthy. This was the first budget in British history designed explicitly to redistribute wealth among the public.
