Emperor Daigo of Japan
Ruled as the 59th emperor of Japan from 897 to 930 during the Heian period. Ascended the throne at age 12, initiated reforms that strengthened imperial authority and patronized arts and culture. His reign coincided with a period of relative peace, allowing for advancements in literature and poetry. Advocated for the establishment of the Ritsuryō system and worked towards the restoration of imperial power amid the influence of powerful noble families.

Saint Methodius
A Byzantine monk and missionary, contributed significantly to the spread of Christianity among the Slavic peoples. Together with his brother, conducted missionary work among the Slavs, promoting literacy and the use of the Slavonic language in liturgy. Established the Glagolitic alphabet, which laid the foundation for the Cyrillic script. Played a vital role in the Christianization of Moravia, leading to the establishment of the first Slavic church.
