Michael Houser was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, best recognized as a member of the band Widespread Panic. The band gained popularity in the southern rock and jam band scenes. Through extensive touring, Widespread Panic built a dedicated fanbase and became known for their live performances and improvisational style. Houser's guitar work contributed to the band's distinctive sound. He was involved with Widespread Panic from its formation in 1986 until his death in 2002 due to pancreatic cancer.
