Anawrahta

Ascended to the throne and established the Pagan Empire in 1044, unifying central Burma. Initiated a series of military campaigns that expanded the empire's territory. Promoted Buddhism throughout the region and constructed numerous significant temples, contributing to the architectural heritage of Myanmar. Implemented administrative reforms that helped solidify his rule and fostered trade and cultural exchanges with neighboring regions.
