Ruled as King of Denmark from 1080 until death in 1086. His reign focused on consolidating the power of the monarchy and promoting Christianity within Denmark. Established several ecclesiastical reforms and sought to strengthen royal authority. His efforts led to increased influence of the church in the region. Canute IV's reign ended when he was killed opposing a rebellion against his rule, and he was later canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church.
