Served as the head of the Jewish Council in Warsaw, managing the difficult conditions and crises faced by the Jewish community under Nazi occupation. Attempted to negotiate for better living conditions and supplies for the Jewish residents amid the horrors of the Holocaust. Documented the challenges faced by the community and made efforts to provide assistance. Ultimately took his own life in 1942 as the situation deteriorated.
