Succession of Constantine's Three Sons

Constantine II, Constantius II, and Constans ascended the Roman throne as co-emperors following the death of their father, Constantine I. This transition marked a significant shift in the leadership of the Roman Empire, as the newly appointed Augusti divided the realm amongst themselves. Each emperor took control of different regions, establishing a triadic rule that sought to maintain unity and stability in the vast empire that spanned Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia.
