Eugenius served as a Roman usurper during the decline of the Western Roman Empire. Gained recognition as the emperor from 392 to 394 AD. The conflict culminated in the Battle of the Frigidus in 394 AD, where Theodosius decisively defeated Eugenius, leading to his capture and execution.
