Constans II

Ruled as the Byzantine emperor from 641 until 668. His reign was marked by military conflicts against the Arab conquests. Established a major administrative reform in the empire, including the use of a new coinage system. Moved the capital to Constantinople and heavily fortified it. Engaged in numerous battles, including significant confrontations with Muslim forces, attempting to secure the empire’s eastern territories. Faced internal challenges, including revolts, and sought to consolidate power through political alliances.
